Florida has The Goofy and now Nova Scotia has the Tartan Twosome!
Maritime Race Weekend organizers are excited to announce a surprise they’ve been secretly planning – it’s the option to participate in a two-day challenge called the Tartan Twosome!
Run the Coastal 5K on Friday night and your choice of the Classic 10K, Half-Marathon or Marathon on Saturday morning and you will get EXTRA SWAG. Your race-kit will include a buff, a short-sleeved tech shirt and a long-sleeved tech shirt PLUS you’ll earn a THIRD MEDAL that organizers believe is the biggest and best medal a Nova Scotian race has ever offered!
The Coastal 5K will be sunset run Friday night at 7pm – which is one of the most picturesque times in the coastal community of Eastern Passage. The evening will be filled with pasta, music and celebration! Then you will return to watch the sunrise for the 10K, Half-Marathon and Marathon – which will start on Saturday morning at 7am!
In order to participate in the Tartan Twosome challenge you must:
- register for the 5K race on Friday
- register for one of the three races on Saturday (10K, half-marathon or marathon)
- notify race directors via email what two races you have registered for online
Both Friday and Saturday races will enjoy the extra bonus of the Seaside Harvest Festival at the finish line. Maritime Race Weekend has already been declared the largest outdoor kitchen party with spandex that Nova Scotia has ever seen – don’t miss it!
