The kitchen party just got bigger

Followers of the Maritime Race Weekend already know that the event promises to be the biggest celebration of running and East Coast hospitality this region has ever seen. Thanks to a new partnership with the Seaside Harvest Festival, Maritime Race Weekend is happy announce that the party will now be even bigger!

The Seaside Harvest Festival, which takes place at the start/finish area on race day, is designed to unite local businesses and residents in a celebration of community, East Coast culture, and music. With entertainment ranging from face painting, cookie decorating, puppet shows, a hockey shoot, Milo the Clown, bouncy castle, a caricaturist, live music, and even a dance, there is certain to be something for everyone!

Maritime Race Weekend race-director, Michelle Kempton believes this partnership is a perfect complement to their race. They chose “The Passage” as the site of the Maritime Race Weekend specifically because of its strong community spirit and beautiful scenery. It has been their goal from day one to host events that celebrate the surrounding areas and give back to the communities where their events are held; with so many local businesses involved in the Seaside Harvest Festival, the partnership is a perfect match!

More than a simply pleasant way to unwind after the race, the Seaside Harvest Festival ensures the family and friends of Maritime Race Weekend participants will have plenty to do as they wait for their runners to finish. Families can get their faces painted, relax to live music, and even decorate a cookie, all within a steps of the the finish at Fisherman’s Cove. Combine that with the Maritime Race Weekend post-race party and beer garden and this is sure to be a weekend to remember!
