On Maritime Race Weekend, be sure and look for Bryony House’s water stop along the route. Bryony House, a safe shelter and support service for women and families impacted by intimate partner violence and abuse, is the latest Maritime Race Weekend charity partner.
As we head toward Maritime Race Weekend, please consider fund-raising for Bryony House in association with your race. To learn more about how to do this, please contact Amanda Quarmby-Bennett (funddev@bryonyhouse.ca).
The non-profit Bryony House provides 24-hour emergency services for women with or without children, escaping intimate partner violence. Every year approximately 470 women and children stay at the 24-bed house and dedicated counselors answer some 2,500 calls on the 24-hour distress line.
Maritime Race Weekend is extremely pleased to align with and support such worthwhile causes as Bryony House.
